Over the past year Disaster Aid Australia (DAA) has been working to help provide 'Safe Water for Every Child' to children at rural schools in Bhutan.
The project has been in conjunction with our local partners; The Rotary Club of Thimphu and the Bhutan Ministry of Education.
A number of SkyHydrant installations have been completed, including this one at the Zhemgang school.
Tests on water quality and reviewing attendance records of the schools, have shown we are making a real difference to the children's health.
A New Target
At a DAA Board meeting on the 12th May it was decided to adopt a target of achieving Safe Drinking Water for EVERY Rural School in Bhutan.
To meet this ambitious target we will need to raise $1,000,000 over the next 2 years.
