One of the Keynote speakers at the DAA 2018 Conference was Governor Mujiv S. Hataman of the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao.
He is seen here sampling water treated by the demonstration Skyhydrant at the conference together with three members of the Disaster Aid Malaysia Board. (From the left KK Looi, Judy Chong, Mujiv S. Hataman, and Janice Lim)
During his talk the Governor was able to tell us that there had been no outbreaks of gastric illnesses at any of the Marawi Crisis temporary re-settlement camps where Disaster Aid Australia SkyHydrants had been installed.
This was in contrast to other temporary re-settlement camps where there had been serious outbreaks of dysentery and cholera.
The benefits of the SkyHydrant solution had greatly impressed him and he was currently seeking funding for a joint project with Disaster Aid Australia to fund many additional SkyHydrants in his region.
He expressed the Marawi Region's gratitude to Disaster Aid Australia, and our local partner Balay Mindanaw who carried out the installations.
